I'm Amy [she/her], a lighting designer and occasional technical stage manager based in London.
I've been working across a varied mix of theatre, live music, events and festivals since graduating from the University of Sussex. I was technical manager at Camden People's Theatre from August 2018 until September 2022, during which I focused my practice towards production lighting and lighting design.
I like to work on devised pieces and contemporary plays ― I have a particular interest in work which seeks to smash up the status quo (or challenge it, at least)
I love to work on projects with a multimedia and multimedium approach, incorporating live sound, video, movement and visual art.
I draw inspiration from a variety of places, from both everyday life and artistic portrayals of the world. I spend a lot of time (re)imagining what lighting can be and do in our everyday lives.
I love bright colours, shadows, darkness and materials which make light behave in exciting ways.
I have a strong interest in developing and working with environmentally-conscious production practices.
